"Thrifty Birthday"

To be delivered and Set free is the Greatest Gift!

1 Peter 1:3-7, “3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire —may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”

It may be my birthday, but if it had not been for the birth, death, and resurrection of my Lord, Jesus Christ there would be nothing to celebrate. I was born of my mother, formed in her womb, flesh gave birth to flesh (John 3:6) but I would be dead if it had not been for the Spirit giving birth to my spirit. I fortunate to have an early birthday a couple of days ago on the 17th, I was set free from the things that were grieving the Spirit within me. I’ve been in the furnace of chastisement for years. My spiritual mother set up a party…. A PRAISE party and warfare PRAYER with Elder Deborah York of Mobile, AL. #POW new birth! #BANG a celebration!

It’s awesome to celebrate birthdays, but when was the last time you celebrated each day that God gave you breath, birth to visions/dreams, deliverance, the destruction of yokes, and NEW MERCIES each morning? You may be dead in your spiritual place but you have the power through Jesus Christ to come out of the grave, being resurrected spiritually and awaken to a new life!

Let’s talk about my outfit. I am completely thrifted and gifted! Aww shuggy duggy! My blouse was thrifted from the Downtown Rescue Mission Thrift Store in Huntsville, AL. My skirt was thrifted from Thrift-Mart in Huntsville, AL. My shoes are Jessica Simpson’s and were gifted by my girl, Alexis Speed. My XOXO watch was gifted again by my girl Alexis Speed for my birthday. My earring were borrowed (I’ve had them for two years nowL) from my friend Nateah Joyner and my belt is New York and CO.

My thrifty tip for you is to always be thankful for how God has provided every need, even things acquired by thrifting. He gives us presents in the form of blessings, grace and mercies because He loves us. Remember each day you awake is a birthday; in my case, a thrifty birthday!

Hallelujah!
